ETL / Baird-Atomic GS12D Dekatron — NOS in Original Box with Period Licence Sheet
Offered here is an exceptionally clean ETL GS12D Dekatron, manufactured in England and dual-branded for Baird-Atomic. This is the exact tube, box, and original ETL licence sheet shown in the photographs.
The tube appears unused and was removed from its period box only for careful inspection and photography. Its clear glass, strong blue printing, complete internal structure, and intact special connections give it excellent presentation quality.
The ETL logo, GS12D designation, Baird-Atomic branding, and “Made in England” markings remain clearly visible. The tube carries a QG production code, believed to indicate manufacture around 1959.
All 12 base pins are present and straight. The threaded center anode terminal is intact, along with both original factory guide-electrode flying leads. The yellow- and green-sleeved wires are part of the original GS12D construction and are not broken or improvised connections.
Condition
New old stock, removed only for inspection and photography
Clear, intact glass envelope
Strong and attractive original blue printing
Complete internal electrode structure
All 12 base pins present
Threaded center anode terminal intact
Both original factory guide leads present
No visible cracks, chips, or loose base separation
The tube has not been electrically tested. Proper evaluation requires a dedicated Dekatron operating circuit and cannot be performed on a conventional receiving-tube tester. It is therefore offered as NOS and untested, with electrical operation unverified.
Included
One ETL / Baird-Atomic GS12D Dekatron tube
Original period cardboard box labeled GS 12 D
Original ETL “Dekatron” licence sheet
The box shows expected age and storage wear. The licence sheet is wrinkled, stained, edge-worn, and torn in places. These original period materials are included exactly as shown and add meaningful historical and display value to the set.
The photographs document the actual item in detail and form part of the description. No substitute tube or generic stock images have been used.
This is a visually strong, complete, and well-preserved GS12D package with its uncommon original box and accompanying ETL documentation—an appealing example for a Dekatron collection, vintage electronics display, restoration project, or period counting-system build.
The tube will be packed with particular care to protect the glass, pins, threaded terminal, and delicate factory flying leads. The original box and licence sheet will be separately protected inside the shipping carton.
Please review all photographs carefully. The exact tube, original box, and licence sheet pictured are the items you will receive.
Untested. No manufacturer or seller operating warranty is included.
